Did you ever succeed in rehoming Zipper, Bonnie? I, too, have a Zipper that is only 2 y.o. She was a kill shelter rescue. However, that's my 4 y.o. Button in my photo. They try hard to help with rehoming, though their priorities are dogs that have been dumped in shelters or about to run out of time at kill shelters, like my little Zipper.
